Resumo

A simulação da recristalização em duas dimensões é realizada pelo método do autômato celular. A evolução microestrutural simulada é comparada em detalhes com as teorias analíticas matematicamente exatas que consideram tanto os aspectos cinéticos quanto os geométricos. Uma concordância muito boa é observada entre a simulação do autômato celular e os resultados teóricos. A forma como os núcleos são distribuídos afeta consideravelmente a cinética, o caminho microestrutural e a contigüidade. Este trabalho focaliza a recristalização, mas seus resultados são aplicáveis a qualquer transformação de nucleação e crescimento.

 

Cellular automata simulation of recrystallization in two dimensions is carried out. The simulated microstrutural evolution is compared in detail with the predictions from mathematically exact analytical theories considering both kinetic and geometrical aspects. Very good agreement is observed between the cellular automata simulation and the theoretical results. The form as the nuclei are distributed considerablely afect the kinetic, the microstructural path and the contiguity. This work focuses on recrystallization but its results are applicable to any nucleation and growth transformation.
