Resumo

Este trabalho teve como objetivo realizar o estudo da ferrita de níquel após a síntese por combustão, seguida de sinterização a 1200ºC. A análise foi feita a partir de microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV), Método de Arquimedes e difração de raios-X (DRX), para que, dessa forma, fosse possível identificar características morfológicas e de porosidade e compará-las. Os resultados nos mostraram que há uma grande quantidade de poros no material após a síntese, porém, após a sinterização, os poros tiveram suas dimensões diminuídas e houve crescimento de grãos. Finalmente, foi possível verificar a alta porosidade e baixa densificação da ferrita de níquel partindo do princípio do Método de Arquimedes.

 

This work aimed to perform the study of nickel ferrite after synthesis by combustion, followed by sintering at 1200ºC. The analysis was performed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the Archimedes method and X-ray diffraction (XRD), so that, it would be possible to identify morphological and porosity characteristics and compare them. The results showed us that there is a large amount of pores in the material after synthesis, however, after sintering, the pores had their dimensions reduced and there was grain growth. Finally, it was possible to verify the high porosity and low densification of nickel ferrite based on the principle of the Archimedes Method.
