Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a aplicação da técnica da dupla camada sobre o revenimento da zona afetada pelo calor (ZAC) do aço AISI 4340 soldado com eletrodo revestido AWS E 8018-B2. As energias de soldagem foram selecionadas através do teste de Higuchi. A avaliação do revenimento da ZAC da primeira camada foi realizada usando análise de microdureza. Os resultados mostraram que a escolha adequada das relações de energias entre a primeira e a segunda camada foram suficientes para revenir a zona dura da primeira camada. Este amolecimento foi alcançado quanto utilizado as relações de energia de soldagem 5/5, 15/5 e 20/10 kJ/cm. A técnica da dupla camada foi eficiente, do ponto de vista de dureza, visto que os valores de dureza alcançados foram inferiores ao metal de base para três das quatro relações de energia empregadas.

 

The present work aims to evaluate the application of the double layer technique on the heat affected zone (HAZ) tempering of AISI 4340 steel, welded with different heat input levels between the first and second layer. The weld heat input levels were selected by the Higuchi test. The evaluation of the tempering of the CGHAZ of the first layer was carried out using microhardness measurements. The results indicated that the appropriate choice of the heat input levels between the first and second layer were enough to temper of the hard zone of the first layer. This softening was achieved when the weld heat input relation was 5/5, 15/5 and 20/10 kJ/cm. The two- layer technique was efficient, from the point of view of hardness, since the hardness values reached were smaller than the base metal for three out of the four weld heat input relations applied.
