Resumo

Polimento de molde é o trabalho de baixar a rugosidade superficial do material base nas cavidades, partindo-se da deixada pela usinagem ou eletroerosão, com a utilização de ferramentas operadas manualmente, de acionamento elétrico, eletrônico ou pneumático, em etapas específicas relativas à pressão exercida e tempo utilizado, até que se obtenha a superfície ideal para o que foi determinado (funcional, visual ou para posterior texturização). Sendo a superfície espelhada, ajustar os picos da rugosidade para que se obtenha este efeito óptico. Portanto o presente trabalho tem por objetivo de mencionar as formas de trabalhos para polimento e quais suas necessidades.

 

Mould polishing is the reduction of the roughness on surfaces in cavities or on cores made from steel, begining from the surface left after spark erosion, milling or any other similar treatment using manual operated devices. These devices can be either electric/electronic or pneumatic equipments. The hereby pressure and time needed on the to polishing surfaces must be controlled and made step by step right through to the end regarding of what was desired (shiny or textured surface).The polishing must be separeted in visual surface polishing and in funcional polishing. To obtain a certain glance, the roughness on top of the surface has to be rounded up by using tools made from soft materials . The target of this presentation is to show the necessities of mould polishing systems and its methods.
