Resumo

La presencia de grafito juega un papel esencial sobre el comportamiento en servicio de las últimas cajas acabadoras de los trenes de bandas en caliente; la forma, la distribución y la cantidad de grafito es un factor de alta importancia. La finalidad es de disminuir considerablemente la cantidad de cementita, pero manteniendo la misma germinación de grafito; cosa indispensable para el mantenimiento de la superficie. La finalidad de la nueva calidad es mejorar el mantenimiento en servicio por la disminución de la cantidad de cementita, que se rompe bajo los esfuerzos combinados de la oxidación y de las tensiones de cizallamiento debidas al deslizamiento intenso en estas últimas cajas.

 

The present of graphite plays an important roll in the conduct of the service of the last finish stands of a hot strip mill. The form, the distribution and the quantity of graphite is a very important factor. The object is to reduce considerately the quantity of cementite, but keeping the same germination of graphite. This is essential for the maintenance of the surface. The new quality wants to improve maintenance in the service. As it use less quantity of cementite, who breaks under the combination effort of oxidation and the shearing tension caused by the intensiv slide of the last stands.
