Resumo

A utilização de ferramentas de corte no setor siderúrgico é de fundamental importância na área operacional, seja para a retirada de inclusões ou como alternativas emergenciais para manutenção. Os métodos tradicionais de oxicombustíveis já são amplamente utilizados no meio siderúrgico, porém esbarram em algumas variáveis que inviabilizam o seu uso. A utilização de um novo método oxicorte sem a utilização constante de um gás combustível foi feita a partir de testes e pesquisas com lanças adaptadas. Tais testes indicaram bons resultados, torna-se viável a medida que diminui os custos na operação, garantindo eficiência, fácil manuseio e segurança do operador. Desta forma garante um menor tempo de parada, seja no Alto-Forno ou na Aciaria, refletindo em melhorias significativas na produtividade siderúrgica.

 

It is very important to have the right cut materials for use in the iron and steelmaking area.. This is useful for inclusions reductions or even for creating possibilities for maintenance.The traditional methods for oxi cutting are used worlwide, but some variables can not be taken in consideration by using these conventional processes. A new method for cutting without using constant fuel gas was made based on a patent and a research work in one company in Sete Lagoas. Theses trials have indicated good results, with lower cost and higher efficiency.. This will guarantee less time for cutting materials, with a direct economy on stop time of Blast Furnaces and LD converters, with a direct consequence in higher productitivy by using thie methodology.
