Resumo

Uma grande variedade de fibras tem sido utilizada como reforço de matrizes à base de cimento devido à sua capacidade de renovação, baixo custo e consumo de energia para sua produção. A finalidade do reforço de um material com fibras é a de melhorar as propriedades desse material que por si só não seria adequado para o uso na engenharia. O principal objetivo deste trabalho é determinar através de experimento as características mecânicas do compósito de matriz cimentícia reforçada com fibra de sisal, adicionada porcentagem de 1% da fibra à massa de cimento. O tipo de ensaio realizado para a caracterização do material foi de flexão em três pontos, seguindo as recomendações da norma RILEM 49, onde investigou- se a influência do volume de fibras nos compósitos, tendo como resultado uma tendência de melhora na resistência à flexão.

 

A great variety of staple fibers has been used as reinforcement of matrices to the cement base due to its capacity of renewal, low cost and consumption of energy for its production. The purpose of the reinforcement of a material with staple fibers is to improve the properties of this material that would by itself not be adjusted for the use in engineering. The main objective of this work is experimentally to determine the mechanical characteristics of the composite of strengthened cimenticide matrix with sisal fiber, added to percentage of 1% the fiber the cement mass. The type of assay carried through for the characterization of the material was of flexion in three points, following the recommendations of norm RILEM 49, where it was investigated influence of the volume of staple fibers in the composites, having as resulted a trend of improvement in the resistance to the flexion.
