Corrosão fadiga é um tipo de degradação de matérias aonde ocorre influência do meio ambiente na vida em fadiga. Existem algumas dificuldades em se realizar testes em corrosão fadiga, por exemplo, trabalhar com baixas freqüências, necessidade de isolar ambiente agressivo etc.Tubulações offshore estão sujeitas ao processo de corrosão fadiga em função do movimento das ondas e ventos e pela ação corrosiva da água do mar. As juntas soldadas são pontos críticos para o inicio de trincas de fadiga. O objetivo deste trabalho é desenvolver um ensaio de propagação de trinca (da/dN) para juntas soldadas em amostras retiradas de uma tubulação construída em aço API 5l X60. O meio corrosivo escolhido foi uma solução contendo NaCl. Os dados obtidos dos testes foram usados no levantamento de curva de fadiga da/dN e comparar com os dados dos ensaios feitos ao ar.
Corrosion fatigue is form of degradation of materials where the environment has a significant influence on the fatigue life. There are some difficulties in set up of corrosion fatigue test, such as: work with small loading frequency and the necessity to isolate the aggressive environmental. Pipeline pipes are susceptible to the corrosion process fatigue in function of the movement of the waves and winds and for the corrosive action of the water of the sea. The welded meetings are critical points for the beginning of cracks of fatigue. The objective of this work is to develop a test to perform corrosion fatigue in welded samples. The samples have been taken from pipeline pipes manufactured in API 5l X60 steels. The test environments have been a solution of NaCl. The data taken from these tests have been used to plot corrosion fatigue curves (da/dN) for the different environments studied and were compared with data of the tests performed in air.
