About

Steelmaking in Brazil may not have evolved production-wise as foreseen ten, twenty or thirty years ago, however, it evolved in terms of competency, productivity, processes and technology, being respected and admired by other countries, whether they import our products or invest in our market.

Regardless of the political and economic moment in Brazil and in the world, the steel industry has always been, and will keep being very important for the country's development and its working class. In addition to employing some 100,000 people, it constantly invests in their training and qualification.

Certainly, The non-stop holding of ABM's Steelmaking Seminar for 44 years, has contributed to the process of maintaining Brazilian steelmaking on a par with the leading countries in the global market in terms of technological know-how and evolution.

This event, which has become increasingly more international in the last few years, provides to Brazilian and foreign professionals with an opportunity to exchange experiences and information, to come in contact with new technologies and the best operating practices, research, as well as increased networking.
