The new INTERSTOP ladle gate of the LS range has been developed to meet the latest requirements of steel plant teeming equipment. The two plate linear slide gate has a nominal diameter of 50 mm. Depending on application up to 60 mm is possible. The outstanding features of this new construction are: the tension of the slider occurs automatically and enforced when acting the cylinder. It is assured by 4 high temperature resistant tension elements new tension free plate positioning system on the ladle bottom every mounting position is possible with direct drive, bellcrank or extended pushrod optimum, cad-designed mechanical parts for high safety and long life high efficiency because of: . improved steel quality . improved life of plate due to tension system . quick assembly by one man only without tools and problems . reduced investment as change of gate from ladle to ladle is possible . on line operation, no workshop required, little maintenance . less steel loss and repair work due to automatic tension system . possibility of automatic casting operation
