An improvernent of dimensional tolerances for round finished products can be obtained by the use of new type sizing stands positioned at the end of an existing rolling mill. Such stands can be either cantilever or double supported type and tolerance values ranging frorn 1/10 to 1/5 DIN are obtainable for different types of steel. Single stand or three stands arrangment is selected depending on customer's requirements to obtain quality results relative to costs.
