Resumo

On April 28th 2000, the first heat was successfully tapped from a 100 ton Danieli EAF at Nanjing Iron & Steel Co (NISCO), Nanjing, China. The furnace has been upgraded from 70 to 100 ton heat size and a Danarc Plus 2000 scrap preheating system has been installed. The installation includes also all auxiliary system required for the achievement of best results in terms of consumption figures and productivity. Flexibility of operation with various charge mixes and various scrap qualities as well as dramatic reduction in consumption through SPS Scrap Preheating System, have been recorded since the first heats
