The purpose of this work is to study the quaternary reciprocal system phase diagram Co²⁺, Na⁺, SO₄²⁻, Cl⁻ – H₂O at 25°C using the isoplets method (vertical sections). Twelve isoplets were established experimentally and the data solubilities were obtained from density measurements. The crystallization areas of Na₂SO₄·10H₂O, Na₂SO₄, NaCl, CoSO₄·7H₂O, CoSO₄, Na₂SO₄·4H₂O and CoCl₂·6H₂O were defined as well as the three-phase and four-phase fields. In order to find out the extraction conditions of the cobalt from the sulphate solutions containing NaCl, we have made investigations in the crystallization area of the Na₂SO₄·CoSO₄·4H₂O in the diagram.
