This article presents a bibliometric survey on lignocellulosic fibers in mortars aimed at thermal and acoustic performance. The study aimed to map the occurrence of scientific records related to the topic, identify terminological trends, and verify possible gaps within the investigated scope. Searches were conducted in the ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Taylor & Francis databases, considering the period from 2016 to 2026 and combinations of the terms “Lignocellulosic Fibers”, “Mortar”, “Thermal Conductivity”, “Thermal Insulation”, “Sound Absorption”, and “Acoustic Insulation”. The data were quantitatively organized and analyzed using VOSviewer software, through term co-occurrence networks extracted from titles and abstracts. The broad search for “Lignocellulosic Fibers” returned 2,966 records, whereas its association with “Mortar” reduced this total to 255 records. When terms related to thermal performance were included, 117 records were retrieved; in the acoustic axis, 63 records were identified. The bibliometric maps indicated a stronger association of records with matrix composition, water absorption, mechanical properties, density, consistency, and microstructural characterization. The results suggest that the use of lignocellulosic fibers in mortars for acoustic and thermo-acoustic purposes still constitutes an underexplored scope in the consulted databases. This scenario reinforces the need for future specific and systematized investigations.
