Resumo

A new type of protection coating "Tetron" has been developed. It posses all the advantages of ordinary fluoroplastic coatings but has better adhesion and does not require any thermal treatment. "Tetron" is a composition based on organosoluble fluorocopolymers with specific modifiers – adhesion promoters. The coating is applied on cleaned metal surfaces (iron, carbon steel, aluminium) by dipping, spraying or with the help of a brush and dried at room temperature. Its mechanical properties are as follows: adhesion strength: 200 KG/sm ultimate tensile strength of a free film: 350 KG/sm The coating is resistant to the most aggressive acids, alkali’s and salt solutions. The tests results in various aggressive media are given as well as various fields of the coating application.
