The examination of the available literature on the spinel ferrites revealed that, even though a lot of empirical knowledge exists about ferrites and they are even produced, there is a great scarcity of thermodynamic development on hydrothermal synthesis of those ferrites. In view of this picture, then present paper has been concerned with the development of potential (Eh)-pH and pₐₑ–pH diagrams of the Zn–Fe–H₂O system under autoclave conditions. The resultant diagram reveal that the Eh–pH and pₐₑ–pH domains of the ZnO.Fe₂O₃(c) grow a lot with the increase of the system temperature. It has been gotten a clear visualization of the possibilities and limitations of the hydrothermal synthesis of the zinc ferrite, so that the generated diagrams looks useful for the planning and interpretation of the future experimental work.
