Resumo

Properly engineered liner systems can optimize rolling mill performance and product quality. By engineering the liner system so that the less expensive and easier-to-replace liners wear out, but the surfaces of the more expensive and difficult-to-replace components do not incur wear, maintenance is simplified and costs are reduced. Ensuring compatibility of liners and other wear surfaces maximizes wear resistance and keeps the mill closer to design specifications longer. Hardened, close-tolerance liners help to maintain alignment of rolls, resulting in improved gage control, shape control, and higher production speeds, and lower maintenance costs.
