This study evaluated the influence of temperature on the flexural behavior of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy. Specimens were tested at room temperature and after initial heating, and the stress–strain curves, maximum stress, chord modulus, and proportional limit were analyzed. The curves showed similar behavior under both conditions, with an initially approximately linear region followed by nonlinear behavior after the proportional limit. However, the heated specimens showed reduced mechanical properties. The maximum stress decreased from 887 ± 8 MPa to 827 ± 24 MPa, the chord modulus decreased from 68.2 ± 1.3 GPa to 58.5 ± 0.3 GPa, and the proportional limit decreased from 655 ± 19 MPa to 619 ± 16 MPa, corresponding to approximate reductions of 7%, 14%, and 6%, respectively. Although the specimens were not exposed to elevated temperature for a prolonged period and the tests were not conducted under isothermal conditions, the initial temperature was sufficient to reduce the flexural stiffness and strength of the alloy. This behavior may be associated with increased atomic vibration, reduced effective interatomic bonding strength, and thermally activated dislocation motion, which facilitates plastic deformation at lower stress levels.
