Resumo

This paper reviews two particular aspects of crystal nucleation in supercooled liquids: i) the validity of the classical nucleation theory for oxide, metallic and polymer liquids; and ii) some remarkable trends observed on homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation in oxide glasses.
