Resumo

A model for secondary recrystallization has been recently proposed (Wörner et al. J. Mater. Res. 6, 1773 (1991)). Within this insight, the problem of the topological constraints is not considered. In this work the effect of growth conditions is studied by means of a deterministic simulation algorithm, obtaining the resulting pattern with due consideration of the overlapping effects between growing grains. Our results are compared with the classical Mehl-Johnson-Avrami-Kolmogorov approach and other simulations based on Monte Carlo methods.
