The demand for sustainable materials has driven research into the use of renewable resources and industrial waste as alternative constituents. In this context, the present study investigated the flexural strength of ternary composites based on epoxy resin, cardanol, and grog (chamotte). In the first stage, epoxy/cardanol formulations containing 10 wt.%, 20 wt.%, and 30 wt.% cardanol were evaluated with four hardener contents: 14 wt.%, 16 wt.%, 18 wt.%, and 20 wt.%. The formulation consisting of 90 wt.% epoxy resin, 10 wt.% cardanol, and 16 wt.% hardener exhibited the best mechanical performance. In the second stage, 15 wt.% grog was incorporated into this formulation while maintaining the same hardener variations. The results showed that the addition of grog significantly increased flexural strength in three of the four formulations tested, with the compositions containing 16 wt.% and 20 wt.% hardener achieving similar and superior values. The formulation with 18 wt.% hardener exhibited an atypical result, which may be attributed to the time interval between specimen fabrication and mechanical testing. Overall, the findings demonstrate that the epoxy/cardanol/grog ternary composite has significant potential as a sustainable alternative for the development of materials within this class.
