Resumo

The paper makes an outline of Centro Inox (the Italian stainless steel development association), describing its members with their range of products, its structure, the results achieved in the Italian stainless steel market, and its activity which can be summarized as follows: Analysis of the market and of its needs Continuous advisory service to all users Market education Standardization work It is shown the position reached by Italy, in Europe, in terms of per capita consumption. Finally, some examples of promotional activity in the sectors of the food industry, building, and transport are described.
