THE DANIELI CONTINUOUS PICKLING PROCESS NEW "TURBOFLO @" PICKLING TECHNOLOGY

Resumo

A world wide aim of modern pickle line projects for the steel industry is to produce hot strip thicknesses between 0.7 and 6.0 mm with an annual production of up to 2.5 million tons. Danieli Wean United have developed the concept of the Turboflo pickling technology, thus making available for the users a reliable pickling technology with low maintenance which, in addition, Mers the advantage of increased strip speeds up to 400 m/min with high quality pickling results. Compared with the different pickling systems which are at present available on the market, the new Danieli Turboflo Technology allows to decrease significantly the pickling time and the heat consumption, to increase the free acid portion and to reduce maintenance costs.
