Resumo
This work presents the thermal behavior of a commercial powder sample of samarium oxide aged in air for several years. From the results obtained, it was possible to verify that this material absorbs H₂O and CO₂ when it’s not stored in a controlled atmosphere, resulting in a mass gain of about 8%.
