The phase equilibria between titanium, Ti-β (bcc) and Ti-α (hcp), titanium aluminide, Ti₃Al-α₂ (hcp), and titanium silicide, Ti₅Si₃ (hcp), have been investigated in the temperature range of 700 to 1200°C. Experimental results obtained by light and analytical electron microscopy, and X-ray diffractometry have been used to calculate a version of this ternary phase diagram using the sublattice model. The calculated isothermal ternary diagrams between 700 and 1200°C of the Ti-Al-Si phase diagram have been compared to the experimental diagram.
