This work has as objective eliminates the occurrences of shutdown for flaws of the group of pipe of the boilers end to increase the absorption of metallurgical fuel, for reduction of the consumption of natural gas of CTE-2. The study was made through the evaluation of the main components of the boiler and of the analysis of the process of the plant, to the which allowed to diagnose the failure the tubes and to define the best operational configuration. The results were significant for the conditions of current operation, what represents increase of the operational safety, reduction of the cost and environmental impact.
