Resumo

O aço ASTM A572 Grau 50 é produzido em forma de chapas e perfis laminados a quente, atende aos requisitos fundamentais dos aços microligados estruturais quais sejam: aumento na resistência mecânica e na tenacidade, tornando possível uma diminuição proporcional da seção, ou seja, o emprego de seções mais leves. Esse material é empregado no setor ferroviário por atender rígidas exigências de especificações de segurança, principalmente, das pessoas. O presente estudo teve por objetivo avaliar a resistência à corrosão das juntas de aço ASTM A572 executadas com espessura de 6,3mm, com chanfro tipo “V”, ângulo 60ºpelos processos GMAW – MAG com arame ER 70S-6 & FCAW – MIG com arame 81 T1-A1

 

ASTM A572 Grade 50 steel is produced in the form of sheets and hot rolled sections. It meets the fundamental requirements of structural microalloyed steels such as: Increase mechanical strength, allowing an enhancement of the load of the structure or making possible a reduction of the cross section, ie the use of lighter sections. This material is used in the railway sector because it meets strict requirements of safety specifications. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the corrosion resistance of ASTM A572 steel joints made with a thickness of 6.3mm, with a "V" type chamfer, at a 60º angle by GMAW - MAG processes wire ER 70S-6 & FCAW - MIG with wire 81 T1-A1
