Resumo

Os materiais compósitos do tipo CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) apresentam,durante o processo de fratura, uma rugosidade acentuada devido a grande variação em altura resultante do arrancamento (“pull-out”) das fibras. Uma avaliação dessa rugosidade pode ser feita através da reconstrução tridimensional da superfície, tanto pelo método de foco variável, utilizando microscopia óptica, quanto pelo método da paralaxe, através de um par de micrografias MEV, obtidas com diferentes ângulos de inclinação da região de interesse. Este trabalho apresenta uma discussão sobre os limites de observação das imagens, próprios do equipamento utilizado, com a intenção de estabelecer o melhor método para a obtenção do mapa de elevações que reproduz a rugosidade da superfície.

 

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composites materials present, during the fracture process, an accentuated roughness due to great variation in height resulting from the pull-out of the fibers. As evaluation of that roughness can be done through the three-dimensional reconstruction of the surface, so much for the method of the variable focus, using optical microscopy, as for the method of the parallax, through a pair of SEM stereo images, obtained with different tilt angles of the area of interest. This work presents a discussion on the limits of observation of the images, own of the used equipment, with the purpose of establishing the best method for the map of elevations that reproduces the roughness of the surfaces.
