Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho é realizado um estudo termodinâmico do uso escórias sintéticas dessulfurantes a base de CaO-Al2O3-MgO-SiO2 para serem utilizadas no refino secundário do aço, visando a substituição da fluorita do processo e dessulfuração do aço para teores entre 1 ppm e 10 ppm. A passagem da escória do convertedor para a panela prejudica significativamente a dessulfuração na panela, pois aumenta a atividade do oxigênio no banho metálico. Além disso, a adição de sucata e fluxantes aumenta os teores de enxofre do aço. Para isso, utilizou-se o programa termodinâmico Thermo-calc para a realização de uma análise das escórias formuladas. Pela análise baseada no software termodinâmico Thermocalc, parece ser possível substituir a fluorita por uma mistura de CaO, MgO e Al2O3.

 

The aim of this paper is perform a thermodynamic study of the use of synthetic slag the basis of CaO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 for use in secondary refining of steel, aiming to replace the fluorite in process desulfurization and reach levels of sulfur between 1 ppm and 10 ppm in steel. The passerby of slag the converter for pot affects significantly the desulfurization, because it increases the activity of oxygen in the metal. Furthermore, the addition of scrap and fluxes increases the sulfur content of the steel. For this, we used the thermodynamic Thermo-calc program for performing an analysis of slag formulated. The results generated by the software thermodynamic indicated the possibility of replacing of fluorite by slag CaO, MgO, Al2O3 e SiO2.
