Resumo

O material galvanizado revestido com liga de Fe-Zn possui características que lhe conferem um amplo mercado consumidor, e dependem dos fenômenos envolvidos nas transformações de fases ocorridas durante o tratamento térmico do revestimento. De modo geral, avalia-se o resultado através das espessuras das fases do revestimento e a forma na qual elas estão distribuídas. Uma das variáveis de processo que afeta a qualidade do galvannealed é a temperatura do aço na entrada do pote de Zn. Essa temperatura tem efeito direto nos aspectos relacionados à camada Fe-Al, formada na interface entre substrato/revestimento, e também, na reatividade do substrato. Nesse estudo, foi verificada a influência da temperatura de entrada da tira no banho de Zn, sendo experimentados valores de 470°C e 500°C. Na temperatura mais baixa, ocorre um menor desenvolvimento da fase Gama, e a estrutura morfológica do revestimento apresenta-se de forma mais refinada. No segundo caso, com a temperatura mais alta, a fase Gama é mais presente e a estrutura do revestimento apresenta-se de forma mais grosseira, com uma maior densidade de crateras.

 

The galvanized material coated with a Fe-Zn alloy possesses characteristics which give it a wide market and depend on the phenomena involved in the phase transformations taking place during the heat treatment of the coating. In general, the result is evaluated through the thickness of the coating phases and the form in which they are distributed. One of the process variables which affect the quality of the galvannealed material is the temperature of the steel at the zinc pot entry side. It has a direct effect in the aspects related to the Fe-Al layer, formed at the interface substrate/coating, and also in the reactivity of the substrate. In this study the influence of the temperature at the entry side of the zinc pot was verified, and the values used were 470°C and 500°C. At the lowest temperature, a smaller development of the Gamma phase occur and the morphologic structure of the coating is more refined. In the second case, with the highest temperature, the Gamma phase is more present and larger density of craters.
