EFEITO DO TEOR DE MANGANÊS E DAS CONDIÇÕES DE RECOZIMENTO NAS PROPRIEDADES MAGNÉTICAS DE AÇOS ELÉTRICOS SEMIPROCESSADOS: EFFECT OF MANGANESE CONTENT AND ANNEALING CONDITIONS ON MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF ELECTRIC SEMIPROCESSED STEELS

Foram investigadas as propriedades magnéticas de três aços elétricos produzidos em escala de laboratório (espessura de 0,50 mm). Os materiais, ultrabaixo carbono e com adição de silício e alumínio, diferiram somente com relação ao teor Mn (0,20%, 0,80% e 1,20%). A rota de fabricação envolveu um tratamento de recozimento em caixa e dois tipos de recozimento contínuo. Após tratamento térmico de descarbonetação, foi observado que o aumento da temperatura de recozimento e o incremento do teor de Mn proporcionaram redução da perda magnética. A permeabilidade tendeu a aumentar com a elevação do teor de Mn e praticamente não se alterou com a condição de recozimento. Os aços não apresentaram susceptibilidade ao fenômeno de envelhecimento magnético.

The magnetic properties of three electrical steels were investigated. Ultra-low carbon and Si-Al alloyed steels were produced in laboratory scale (thickness of 0.50 mm) and differed among them only with respect to the Mn content (0.20%, 0.80% and 1.20%). The manufacturing route involved one box annealing treatment and two others continuous annealing treatments. After decarburization heat treatment, it was observed that the increase of annealing temperature or Mn content caused decreasing in core loss. Otherwise magnetic permeability tended to increase with higher Mn concentration and virtually unchanged with the variation on annealing condition. None materials showed susceptibility to magnetic aging phenomena.
