NA INDúSTRIA DA MINERAçãO, A UTILIZAçãO DE CORREIAS TRANSPORTADORAS PARA MOVIMENTAçãO DE GRANDES VOLUMES DE MATERIAL EM LONGAS DISTâNCIAS é COMUM E FACILITA O FLUXO PRODUTIVO. NO ENTANTO, POR CARACTERíSTICAS OPERACIONAIS, PODE SER FREQUENTE O FUNCIONAMENTO OCIOSO DESSES SISTEMAS. ESTE TRABALHO ABORDA A REDUçãO DA VELOCIDADE DOS MOTORES DE ACIONAMENTO DE CORREIAS TRANSPORTADORAS QUANDO OPERANDO A VAZIO COMO ESTRATéGIA EFICAZ PARA A OTIMIZAçãO DA OPERAçãO NO SETOR MINERAL, GARANTINDO MELHORA NA PERFORMANCE E FOCANDO EM ASPECTOS COMO AUMENTO DE EFICIêNCIA E RENTABILIDADE OPERACIONAL, ALéM DA MINIMIZAçãO DE IMPACTOS AMBIENTAIS. A ANáLISE DE OCIOSIDADE DO CIRCUITO APRESENTADO E CONSIDERAçãO DA OPERAçãO OTIMIZADA MOSTROU ALTO POTENCIAL DE PERDA EVITADA.

 

IN THE MINING INDUSTRY, THE USE OF CONVEYOR BELTS TO TRANSPORT LARGE VOLUMES OF MATERIAL OVER LONG DISTANCES IS COMMON AND FACILITATES THE PRODUCTIVE FLOW. HOWEVER, DUE TO OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS, NO-LOAD OPERATION OF THESE SYSTEMS CAN BE FREQUENT. THIS PAPER ADDRESSES THE REDUCTION OF CONVEYOR BELT DRIVE MOTOR SPEEDS WHEN OPERATING WITHOUT LOAD AS AN EFFECTIVE STRATEGY FOR OPTIMIZING OPERATIONS IN THE MINING SECTOR, ENSURING IMPROVED PERFORMANCE AND FOCUSING ON ASPECTS SUCH AS INCREASED EFFICIENCY AND OPERATIONAL PROFITABILITY, IN ADDITION TO MINIMIZING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS. THE ANALYSIS OF IDLENESS IN THE PRESENTED CIRCUIT AND CONSIDERATION OF OPTIMIZED OPERATION SHOWED A HIGH POTENTIAL FOR AVOIDED LOSS.
