Resumo

Os aços inoxidáveis duplex estão sendo cada vez mais usados em vários segmentos industriais. Devido essa ampla aplicação, novos tipos desses aços estão surgindo no mercado e mais estudos são necessários a fim de entender melhor seu comportamento sob a influência de diferentes variáveis de processo. Com base nisso, esse trabalho teve como objetivo o estudo da cinética de precipitação de fases intermetálicas em três tipos de aços inoxidáveis duplex, sendo eles lean-duplex (UNS S32304), duplex (UNS S31803) e super-duplex (UNS S32550), após envelhecimento a 750 C em diferentes tempos. Os resultados experimentais foram de acordo com os resultados obtidos através do software ThermoCalc, isto é, devido as distintas composições químicas, a precipitação de fase sigma ocorreu apenas nos aços super e duplex. Sendo que a nucleação e crescimento no primeiro foram bem mais pronunciadas. Enquanto isso, no aço lean-duplex houve apenas precipitação nitretos e/ou carbetos.

 

Duplex stainless steels are increasingly being used in various industrial segments. Due to this wide application, new types of these steels are appearing on the market and more studies are needed in order to better understand their behavior under the influence of different process variables. Based on this, this work aimed to study the precipitation kinetics of intermetallic phases in three types of duplex stainless steels, being lean-duplex (UNS S32304), duplex (UNS S31803) and super-duplex (UNS S32550), after aging at 750 C at different times. The experimental results were in agreement with the results obtained through the ThermoCalc software, that is, due to the different chemical compositions, the sigma phase precipitation occurred only in super and duplex steels. The nucleation and growth in the former were much more pronounced. Meanwhile, in lean-duplex steel there was only nitrides and/or carbides precipitation.
