Resumo

A formação da austenita em aços multifásicos de concepção C-Mn-Si com adições de Al e Mo, durante a etapa de aquecimento no recozimento contínuo, foi estudada por meio de termodinâmica computacional (Thermo-Calc), dilatometria e metalografia quantitativa. O Software Thermo-Calc mostrou-se adequado para a avaliação da influência de elementos químicos na formação da austenita, podendo ser utilizado na etapa de elaboração de projetos de liga. Com relação à quantidade de austenita formada, os resultados determinados via Thermo-calc apresentaram-se superestimados em relação aos obtidos por dilatometria e metalografia.

 

The formation of austenite in C-Mn-Si multiphase steels with additions of Al and Mo, during the heating step in the continuous annealing, was studied by means of computational thermodynamics (Thermo-Calc), dilatometry and quantitative metallography. The Thermo-Calc software was extremely interesting to evaluate the influence of chemical elements in the formation of austenite, making it possible to use it in the alloy design stage. With respect to the amount of austenite formed, the results achieved by means of the Thermo-Calc presented themselves overestimated compared to those obtained by dilatometry and metallography.
