Resumo

A Gerdau Açominas produz cerca de 70 bitolas de perfis nos comprimentos de 6 a 24 metros. O mercado de perfis tem como característica a venda de pequenos volumes. A formatação de cargas rodoviárias e ferroviárias torna-se um grande problema, devido à diversidade das características dos pacotes (largura, altura, peso, comprimento), aos diferentes veículos utilizados para transporte, à ordem de entregas por veículo e à localização do material no estoque. O modelo de formatação de cargas é uma ferramenta desenvolvida internamente, com idéias e recursos próprios, que busca resolver o problema do carregamento de cargas na Gerdau Açominas, através do planejamento e da simulação do carregamento. O modelo pretende proporcionar uma série de benefícios para a Gerdau Açominas, transportadoras e outros envolvidos no processo.

 

Gerdau-Açominas produces sections in about 70 gages in lengths varying from 6 through 24 m. The characteristics of the section market are the sale of small volumes. The road and railroad cargo-formatting is, therefore, a big problem, due to the diversity of package characteristics (width, height, weight, length), the different vehicles used for transportation, the order of delivery per vehicle and location of the material in the stockyard. The cargo-formatting model is an internally developed tool, with our own ideas and resources that try to solve the problem of cargo shipment at Gerdau- Açominas, through planning and simulation of the shipment. The model intends to provide a series of benefits to Gerdau-Açominas, transportation companies and others, involved in the process.
