Resumo

Neste trabalho são apresentados exemplos do uso da ferramenta de modelagem termodinâmica aplicada ao desenvolvimento de novas ligas para diferentes segmentos e aplicações. Através do emprego da modelagem termodinâmica acoplada a simulações numéricas de transporte de calor e simulações mecânicas, foi possível otimizar rotas de laminação e tratamento térmico de forma a se obter a melhoria de propriedades de aços e ligas especiais. O uso da ferramenta de modelagem termodinâmica também é de fundamental importância para o desenvolvimento de novas ligas as quais já consideram deste o início da modelagem variáveis que processo, simplificando o desenvolvimento tanto na escala piloto como industrial.

 

In this work there are presented some applications examples of the use of thermodynamic modeling to development of new alloys for different segments and applications. By the use of thermodynamic modeling coupled with numerical simulations of heat transport and mechanical simulations, it was possible to optimize the rolling and heat treatment routes in order to improve the properties of specialty steels and alloys. The use of the thermodynamic modeling it is also important to the development of new alloys which consider from its conception the process variables, simplifying the development of the new material in the pilot and industrial scale.
