Resumo

Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar as técnicas de projeto de controladores robustos a partir de modelos identificados em malha fechada e aplicá-las na otimização da massa de revestimento de zinco em uma linha de galvanização por imersão a quente. Esta abordagem permite a realização do experimento de identificação durante a operação normal da planta, com interferência mínima e sem interrupção da produção. A implementação do novo controlador otimizou o desempenho do processo, com redução significativa de material não conforme durante as transições de espessura das bobinas e mudanças no set point da massa de revestimento.

 

This work has as objective to investigate the techniques of robust controllers design from models identified in closed loop and to apply them in the optimization of coating mass control in a hot-dip continuous galvanizing line. This approach allows the accomplishment of identification experiment during the plant normal operation, with minimum interference in the production. The implementation of the new controller optimized the process performance; with significant reduction of non conform materials during the coil thickness transitions and changes in set point of the coating mass.
