O TRABALHO EM QUESTÃO PROPÕE UM ALGORITMO DE OTIMIZAÇÃO PARA O PROBLEMA DE PLANEJAMENTO DO LINGOTAMENTO CONTÍNUO, USADO PARA PRODUZIR TARUGOS, BLOCOS E PLACAS, ESTE É UM PROBLEMA REAL DE FLOW-SHOP HÍBRIDO, NP-DIFÍCIL, COM LINGOTAMENTO CONTÍNUO NA ÚLTIMA ETAPA. ESTE ESTUDO CONSIDERA O PROBLEMA DE PLANEJAMENTO COM DIVERSOS PRODUTOS E DIFERENTES TEMPOS DE LINGOTAMENTO, SENDO UM PROBLEMA CRÍTICO E DESAFIADOR PARA AS PRODUTORAS DE AÇO. O ALGORITMO É DECOMPOSTO EM DOIS SUBPROBLEMAS (PRIMÁRIO E SECUNDÁRIO) DE ACORDO COM A NATUREZA DAS RESTRIÇÕES E OBJETIVOS DO LINGOTAMENTO CONTÍNUO. O ALGORITMO PROPOSTO FOI IMPLEMENTADO EM UMA ACIARIA DA GERDAU EM OURO BRANCO / BRASIL, E FOI ANALISADO EM DIVERSOS CENÁRIOS REAIS, DEMONSTRANDO SER UM FERRAMENTA CONFIÁVEL PARA O SUPORTE A TOMADA DE DECISÃO E PLANEJAMENTO OPERACIONAL.
THIS WORK PROPOSES AN OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM FOR THE STEELMAKING AND THE CONTINUOUS-CASTING (SCC) SCHEDULING PROBLEM TO MANUFACTURE BILLETS, BLOOMS, AND SLABS, WHICH IS A REAL HYBRID FLOW SHOP NP-HARD PROBLEM WITH CONTINUOUS-CASTING AT THE LAST STAGE. THIS STUDY CONSIDERS THE SCHEDULING PROBLEM WITH DIVERSE PRODUCTS AND DIFFERENT CASTING TIMES, WHICH IS A CRITICAL AND CHALLENGING PROBLEM IN STEEL PLANTS. THE ALGORITHM IS DECOMPOSED INTO TWO SUBPROBLEMS (PRIMARY AND SECONDARY PROBLEMS) ACCORDING TO THE NATURE OF THE SSC CONSTRAINTS AND OBJECTIVES. THE PROPOSED ALGORITHM HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED ON A GERDAU STEEL SHOP IN OURO BRANCO/BRAZIL, AND IT HAS BEEN TESTED IN SEVERAL REAL-WORLD SCENARIOS, DEMONSTRATING TO BE A RELIABLE TOOL FOR DECISION SUPPORT AND OPERATIONAL PLANNING.
