Abstract

In the paper, the authors report data relating to the structure and properties of products from aluminum and aluminum-copper powders, formed by adhesive joining of particles. Three different routes of adhesive forming were applied to obtain high material density: cyclic extrusion-compression (CEC), extrusion preceded by compaction, and extrusion using so-called convex dies. The best structure and mechanical properties were obtained for materials subjected to the CEC process, which also leads to full densification of the material by accumulating very large total strain.
