Abstract

Strip processing technologies are located at the downstream end of the production line. They present the last chance to improve product quality before shipment to the customer. Moreover, quality deterioration that is caused within the last stages of the production process is most expensive. Therefore the implementation of a flexible automation system for strip processing lines is vital for success in today's competition on the market for flat products.
