Abstract

No presente estudo foi analisado um flange que sofreu fratura em serviço na região de mudança de seção entre a face e o eixo rosqueado. Na análise de falhas foram realizadas análise química, análise macroscópica, análise de microscopia eletrônica de varredura e metalografia. Os resultados demonstraram que a fratura ocorreu por fadiga devida à carga de flexão rotativa incentivada por uma modificação no raio de curvatura do flange

I In the present study, a flange fractured in service was analyzed in the region of section change between the face and the threaded shaft. In the analysis of failures were performed chemical analysis, macroscopic analysis, analysis of scanning electron microscopy and metallography.
