Abstract

Resumo Considerando a atual necessidade da obtenção de aços com baixos teores de enxofre para atendimento do mercado, a dessulfuração do gusa é de fundamental importância. Este trabalho descreve as influências dos parâmetros operacionais da dessulfuração de gusa em panela, baseados em resultados obtidos e no modelo proposto por Costa et al1. As análises mostram que as dimensões da panela e a taxa de dessulfuração têm influência no tratamento do metal. Por outro lado, a temperatura do gusa e a vazão de gás de arraste não afetam os resultados de dessulfuração de forma significativa.

 

Considering the necessity of low sulfur content in steel, the hot metal desulphurization is important to obtain low sulfur values in steel production. This paper describes the influences of hot metal treatment parameters in the desulphurization results based on the model proposed by Costa et al [1]. The analysis shows that the ladle dimensions and the desulphurizer agent rate injection have influence in the desulphurization treatment. In the opposite side, the hot metal temperature and gas flow rate does not affect the desulphurization rate significantly.
