Abstract

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo estudar o aproveitamento dos resíduos finos gerados através do peneiramento de Areias de Sucatas e Sucatas de Gusa juntamente com o resíduo de finos de carvão. Os resíduos com diâmetros inferiores a 3,00 mm não são aproveitados pelas siderúrgicas, pois provocam queda na temperatura dos fornos. Nesta pesquisa foi usada uma metodologia de sinterização do material rico em ferro para aglomerar tais partículas, de tal forma que suportem a alta temperatura de entrada nos fornos sem se desintegrarem, não contribuindo para a queda da temperatura do forno. Estudos preliminares realizados em um protótipo de forno indicam que o método é viável. As amostras obtidas no processo de sinterização apresentam teores de ferro e resistência mecânica que indicam a viabilidade técnica e econômica para o aproveitamento do resíduo aglomerado.

 

The aim of this study is to use steel fine residues originated from the dust of old steel objects as well as the residue of fine coal. The residues with less than 3,00 mm diameter can not be used in siderurgy blast furnace because it provokes fall in temperature of blast furnace. In this research it was used sintering methodology to agglomerate the iron particles, in a size that support the high temperature of entrance in blast furnace without disintegrating and not contributing for the fall in temperature of blast furnace. Preliminary studies in an oven archetype indicate that the method is viable. The samples obtained in the sintering process present iron amount and mechanical resistance that indicates the technical and economical viability of the process.
