Abstract

Durante o processo de produção e após estocagem (antes do enfornamento), o sínter é peneirado com o objetivo de eliminar finos para adequá-lo ao emprego no Alto-forno. Portanto, a classificação do sínter é uma necessidade do Alto-forno e representa custos para a área de redução por interferir diretamente na produtividade e eficiência da unidade de sinterização, motivos pelos quais deve receber a devida atenção. Neste trabalho, são apresentados os resultados obtidos com a redução da abertura das malhas do peneiramento de sínter na Sinterização e no Alto-forno A (AF-A) da ArcelorMittal Monlevade. Esta redução de abertura de malha foi de 5,00 para 4,00 mm.

 

The sinter is screened at the sinterplant in order to adequate it to the blast furnace size requirement. In consequence, the sinter classification according to the size affects sinter cost, productivity and yield. The results obtained with the sieve reduction from 5.00 to 4.00 mm at the sinterplant and at the blast furnace screening areas have been shown.
