Abstract

Na Usiminas, Usina de Ipatinga, há quatro máquinas de lingotamento contínuo, sendo três delas instaladas na planta da Aciaria no 2, cujo processo de identificação das placas produzidas era realizado manualmente. O objetivo deste trabalho é descrever o projeto de automatização desse processo, destacando as tecnologias de hardware e software utilizadas, as funcionalidades de rastreamento automático e a interface entre os sistemas de chão de fábrica com os sistemas existentes.

 

At Usiminas, Ipatinga Plant, there are four continuous casting machines, where three of them are installed in the steelmaking plant no 2. The process of slab identification was performed manually. The aim of this paper is to describe the design automation of this process, highlighting the hardware and software technology used, the functionality of automatic tracking and the interface between plant floor systems with the existing systems.
