Abstract

Neste estudo, o comportamento de 4 pós fluxantes, destinados ao lingotamento contínuo de aços UBC, BC, MC e AC, foram estudados por meio de testes de solidificação/cristalização piloto e ensaios laboratoriais. Com base nos resultados obtidos foi possível avaliar o comportamento de cristalização dos pós fluxantes e a interferência desse fenômeno na resistência à transferência de calor na interface placa/molde. Foi possível também comparar os pós fluxantes com relação à indicação de uso. Os resultados mostraram que existe uma relação direta entre o grau de cristalização dos filmes de pó fluxante com o fluxo de calor. Quando ocorre um aumento da cristalinidade dos filmes há uma redução significativa na quantidade de calor removido.

 

In the present paper, the behavior of 4 mould fluxes, for the continuous casting of ULC, LC, MC and HC steels, were studied by solidification/crystallization experimental test and laboratory analysis. Using the results was possible evaluate the crystallization behavior of mould fluxes and its effect on heat transfer resistance in mold/slab interface. It also was possible to compare the mould fluxes regarding the use indication. The results showed a direct relationship between the mould film crystallization degree with the heat flux. If the films crystallinity increases it will be a significant reduction in the amount of heat removed.
