Abstract

Este trabalho teve como principal objetivo avaliar os desgastes de bolas utilizados como corpo moedor, elaborando um ranking entre 10 (dez) fornecedores de bolas de várias partes do mundo. As bolas recebidas dos fornecedores foram submetidas ao teste de desgaste em moinho de laboratório de 12”x12”. Os testes realizados permitiram a determinação da redução do diâmetro das bolas com o tempo, obtendo-se as taxas de desgaste expressas como mm/100h. De posse dos resultados pode-se fazer um ranking entre os 10 fornecedores avaliados classificando-os em ordem crescente de desgaste.

 

This paper had as main objective evaluate the wear of balls used as grinding media, producing a ranking of ten (10) balls of various suppliers around the world. The balls received from suppliers were subjected to run in laboratory test mill 12 x 12 inches. The tests performed allowed the determination of reducing the diameter of the balls over time, resulting in wear rates expressed as mm/100h. Based on the results it was possible to classify them in order of increasing wear.
