Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo caracterizar e estudar o comportamento tecnológico de dois tipos de argilas oriundas do município de São Miguel do Guamá a partir de formulação argilosa. Foram testadas formulações compostas pela mistura e não mistura de argila forte e fraca. As matérias-primas foram submetidas as análises de DRX, FRX, MO, MEV. Os corpos de prova foram prensados uniaxialmente em matriz retangular metálica. As propriedades físicas e tecnológicas determinadas foram: Porosidade aparente, massa específica aparente, absorção de água, retração linear de queima e resistência à flexão em três pontos. A microestrutura das cerâmicas foi avaliada por MO, MEV. Os resultados indicaram que as argilas possuem características favoráveis para produção de blocos de vedação, porém a maior resistência do material ficou com a mistura de 50% de argila fraca mais 50% de argila forte.

 

"This work aims to characterize and study the technological behavior of two types of clays from the municipality of. The physical and technological properties determined were: apparent porosity, apparent specific mass, water absorption, linear retraction of burn and resistance to flexion in three points. The microstructure of the ceramics was evaluated by MO, MEV. The results indicated that the clays have favorable characteristics for the production of sealing blocks, however, the higher resistance of the material remained with the mixture of 50% of weak clay plus 50% of strong clay. "
