Abstract

São discutidos aspectos da microestrutura (microscopia óptica e eletrônica) e da propriedade mecânica (microdureza Vickers) da liga Al-6063 com diferentes graus de deformação plástica seguidos de convenientes tratamentos térmicos visando o entendimento dos mecanismos atuantes nos processos de recuperação e recristalização. A formação de partículas de segunda fase (usualmente Mg2Si) dispersas no interior da matriz altera favoravelmente sua resistência mecânica. Os processos de recuperação e recristalização diminuem a quantidade de defeitos cristalinos. Sítios de nucleação presentes juntamente com os processos de recuperação e recristalização alem da participação da precipitação, impediram parcialmente o crescimento de grão.

 

There are discussed aspects of the microstructure (optic and electronic microscopy) and of the property mechanics (microhardness Vickers) of the Al-6063 alloy with different degrees of plastic deformation followed by convenient thermal treatments regarding the operating mechanisms in the recovery and recrystallization processes. The formation of second phase particles (usually Mg2Si) dispersed in the interior of the matrix modifies favorably its mechanical resistance. Recovery and recrystallization processes reduce the amount of crystalline defects. Nucleation sites together recovery and recrystallization processes among phases precipitation, hinder partially the grain growth.
