Abstract

Este trabalho demonstra como uma arquitetura de alta disponibilidade, quando associada a sistemas chaves de gerenciamento da informação, pode gerar benefícios de fundamental importância na análise de dados e seus conseqüentes resultados, garantindo confiabilidade e rapidez na tomada de decisões. São apontadas as tecnologias, entre equipamentos e ferramentas de mercado, utilizadas para implementação de uma arquitetura mista, na qual os dados provenientes do processo de mineração são, em primeira instância, armazenados em bancos de dados locais e, então, replicados para um centro de inteligência operacional, que passa a ser detentor das informações de todas as unidades de negócio da empresa. O sistema foi implantado na empresa mineradora Ferrous Resources do Brasil.

 

This article describes how a high-availability architecture, when associated with key information management systems, can generate benefits of fundamental importance in data analysis and its results, ensuring reliability and speed in decision making. The work presents the software and hardware technologies used to implement a mixed architecture, where mining process data are stored in local databases and also replicated to a head quarter, which can act as a single information center of all company units. The system was implemented in Ferrous Resources do Brasil mining company.
